AimsWeb Assessment and Tickets

If you came to material pickup and noticed that your child, who is a remote learner, did not receive an Aimsweb Remote Testing Ticket, please check your child’s .k12@ipsd.org school email address. If there is no Remote Testing Ticket in your child’s email, please reach out to Courtney DiFiore at Courtney_difiore@ipsd.org and a Remote Testing Ticket will be sent to your child’s school email address. If you are a remote learner, please pickup your materials prior to February 5th so that you have this testing ticket for the assessment on Monday, February 8th.

3rd Quarter Material Pick-Up

Thank you to all the parents and students who came to our 3rd Quarter Material Pick-Up on Monday. If your child is a remote learner and you were not able to attend the material pick-up, please come to door 1 any day this week from 1:00-3:00pm and we will be able to provide you with those materials. If your child is an in-person hybrid learner, they will receive their materials out of their PE classes this week.

5 Essentials Parent Survey

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Students in grades fourth through twelve across Illinois have the opportunity to participate beginning February 8 in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey implemented by the Illinois State Board of Education. This statewide survey is based on 20 years of research at the University of Chicago. It asks students about their experiences in school, giving school leaders critical student input to help develop school improvement plans.

Student participants will be required to log-in using their student ID and birth date in order to complete the survey. Students’ identities will be completely confidential. Teachers or administrators will never see individual responses to survey questions and will only receive aggregated information, such as the total percentage of students who agree homework assignments help them learn course material.

Please be aware that under the Protection of Pupil Rights Act. 20 U.S.C. Section 1232(c) (1) (A), you have the right to review a copy of the questions asked of your child. Survey questions are posted on the Illinois 5Essentials website at http://ipsd.us/DTASY.

If you do not want your son or daughter to participate, please contact Scullen Middle School by phone at (630)428-7000 or by email at valerie_harris@ipsd.org school by February 5, 2021.

Thank you.
