What do you teach at Scullen?

7th Grade ELA & Geography

How long have you been at Scullen?

I've been at Scullen since the very first day it opened.

What was your path to becoming a teacher?

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I was the first person in my family to go to college, and I wouldn't change my path. I love what I do.

What is one thing that you are good at that might surprise people?

I like to think of myself as a pretty creative person. I like designing and sewing costumes.

What is the last thing that made you laugh?

My 13 year-old daughter Rozzie. She loves sending me funny pictures of cute animals to make me smile.

What was your favorite subject/class when you were in middle school?

What is something on your bucket list?

I really want to travel to Lapland, Finland some day to get a good view of the northern lights.

What is something you look forward to every year?

I just really love autumn. It's my favorite time of year.

What is your favorite sports team/TV show/song/food/book/anything?

One of my favorite things is going to the theater with my daughter to see plays and musicals.

What is something you want to share about yourself?

Even though I don't have any pets of my own, I have a soft spot for all animals. I love when my students share their hamsters, lizards, boa constrictors, dogs, and cats with me during online classes. It makes me feel like I have pets of my own. :)
