Dear Scullen Community,
I greatly appreciate the patience and grace that our Scullen community provided throughout our first day of remote learning. The start of the day was a little stressful as we discovered the systems and the local internet providers could not quite handle the immense volume of traffic. The system was a little slow to admitting students into zoom meetings, the SSO was just spinning and students and parents were left wondering if they had incorrectly attempted to log on. I cannot promise this will not happen tomorrow morning, but we learned that with a little patience, nearly all students were able to access their zoom classes through the StudentVUE. As the day progressed, we found that the connectivity issues decreased. The teachers will continue sharing the zoom links in google classroom as a secondary means for students to enter class.
Just to be clear, we do have school tomorrow. The student planners were printed prior to the adjustment to the district calendar.
Thank you again to our community for your patience and understanding as we have embarked on remote learning. I speak for all the teachers when I say how wonderful it was to see your students throughout the day and we are looking forward to continuing the learning tomorrow.
