8th Grade Parents - HS Transition Information

Reported by jennifer_albert@ipsd.org on 11/8/19

Attention 8th grade parents:

The transition from middle school to high school can be a bit overwhelming for not only our students, but for you as well. We want to assure you that there is a process in place that will assist in answering questions and easing anxiety. Both NVHS and WVHS host a parent night where department chairs and administration will present. This date typically takes place in winter (January/February). 8th grade teachers make recommendations for core high school courses, but you and your child have a voice in that decision making. A process of how to change a recommendation will be shared with you as time gets closer.
